To the scums of the world

To you,

I should hate you after everything that has happened, but I want to thank you.

I want to thank you, for being abusive and manipulative. No, not physically, because that's too simple and common. But mentally. The mental torture you imposed on me scarred me. The ways in which you would lead me to my own conclusions and think/do things to hurt myself even more. Thank you for that, for I learnt what it is like to have an unhealthy relationship, and how no one deserves that.

I want to thank you, for being egoistic, and brainwashing me to fan your ever-growing ego. Thank you for showing me that women are not the only creatures who are vain, and for showing me that ugly people can be vain too. I learnt the true meaning of the saying "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder", and I, as the beholder, was severely blinded.

I want to thank you, for making me cry. For allowing me to experience gasping, breathless, non-stop crying. If I had not known how sad I could be, I will never know how much happier I can be.

I want to thank you, for being undependable. If I had a dollar every time you bailed on me, I would have at least a thousand dollars in my bank account now. Every time you acted like a coward, I had no choice but to turn to my family and friends. They are the people who were and always will be there for me, and your lack of responsibility has allowed me to appreciate them even more.

I want to thank you, for making me throw my money down the drain. "Money can buy you happiness"; I disagree. I now know that true happiness can be achieved with no cash, nothing material. I know that I deserve to be treated and pampered, instead of the other way round.

I want to thank you, for being indecisive. The way you treated as though our relationship was a game, and I was your human yo-yo. I learnt that I am strong, and I have the emotional equivalent of an ocean, and you the emotional capability of an ant.

I want to thank you, for never making me truly happy. For I have those experiences to look back upon, and my happiness now can shine even brighter when contrasted against them.

I want to thank you for treating me the way you did, because I came out a better person.

And you? You remain, to be despised upon.

Friday has never felt so good

So this Friday I took an off-day from work and went on a date with my dearest daughter/AGL/crazy girl. She's the only girl I know so far who can challenge me in terms of screaming.

Some selfies as usual.

Met her at Bugis Plus and this guy happened to be handing out flyers. I'm a sucker for advertisements and always fall into their traps. I should know better, being a Comms student, but... Anyway we ended up at Rocku! Serving Japanese Charcoal Grill, it's hidden away in a corner on the 4th floor of Bugis Plus, and we ordered the Yakiniku Lunch Set Meals.

My date for the day, chiobu Jo.

Our sets arrived pretty fast amidst our chatting and gossiping :P

Jolene's Saba Fish set, and my Pork Loin set. Each set comes with salad, rice, main, miso soup and egg fried rice.

Andddd we begin the BBQ-ing!

 Serious me at work hahaha.

The pork loin was a little bit tough, but maybe I had over cooked it. Aiya, I'm not good at cooking. I'm better at eating LOL. Jo's saba fish was good though. And the rice.. it was heavenly. I'm trying to keep a low/no carb diet but I could not help but finish ALL the rice. It's that good. Yumssss

Best thing about this place is, the bill only came up to around $20 for 2 pax!! Worth it or what? Definitely worth a visit again during lunch hours. Apparently they also have dinner buffet, but I didn't check out the prices.

Pretty decor of the restaurant. Love the graffiti cat meow.

Afterwards, it was some intense shopping session, which of course I do not have any pictures because we were busy shopping away.

Bugis street is really a haven for cheap affordable clothes and accessories! Of course, if you shop at Bugis Street, don't expect the quality of clothes to be fantastic. It may be a bit sheer, or may fray easily, or may fur upon a few washes. But hey one can't expect much from a piece of clothing that costs only $10 right?

Though I admit I do have some pieces from Bugis Street which are surprisingly long-lasting, and people are always shocked when I tell them where I bought them or how much I bought them for hahaha. To quote Jo: 省省省,ah fang 最棒!

One thing I hate about Bugis Street is the crowd. Go there on a weekend and prepared to be swarmed by people. And most of them are tourists/foreigners... Have I mentioned how much I hate to be squeezed against people? Especially... people who do not care much about hygiene. Sigh.

This brings me to an incident which happened yesterday. I was on the train back home after work, and yes I expect crowd and squeezing during the peak hour, it is inevitable. But.. there was this smell, permeating the air.. A sour smell of dried sweat.. I mean.. Yes, everyone has had a hard day at work, but if you know you are bound to such.. smells, you can clean yourself up right?!? I wish people would be more considerate about these. Imagine if you had a bad day at school/work and you smell this on your way home. You would just want to murder someone -.- ok end rant.

I love Bugis Street food too! Just past the sex shop (hahaha always use that as a point of reference when you get lost. "Eh I am near the sex shop!" "Meet at the sex shop ah!"), there are lots of yummy food and cheap cheap fruit juices!! Only $1! And this is my MUST-HAVE whenever I go to Bugis Street..

算盘子!!! Aka Abacus Seed (?) Not sure how it is made, probably yam and glutinous rice or something, but it is HOLY. I can eat this forever. And that is why I am fat forever lol.

This girl ah, so old already never try before! Nah jie jie buy let you try la!

Anddddd presenting my best buy of the day...

TADAH!! My colourful umbrella which I bought from a pushcart at Bugis+! It's quite pricey, at $17.90. but my current umbrella is ugly and spoiling, so I just got myself a chio one hahaha. Hope this will make my rainy days a wee bit better!

Cheers to the long weekend everyone! (I keep thinking today is Saturday)

High on Helium

Just me being retarded 1 year ago.

You'd better not mess with me now.

1st

This post marks many firsts - the first post on this new blog, on the first of May, and another first which you will find out later..

So I just had this sudden urge to create a blog, to pen down and if possible, share my thoughts with some like-minded friends out there as well :) And since I like to write, and talk (a lot) and am a camwhore, so why not? Hahahaha

So...

This is me.

I'm a third-year student in NTU, and I love to dance. I'm very chatty and crazy (as you will probably see from the things I do and say) and I like to visit new places for food, leisure, and camwhore at those places LOL.

So on this 1st of May, we celebrated our first monthsary :)

Some camwhore shots before I left home.. Decided to curl my hair today! I miss my super duper long hair sighhhh

I bought 2 coupons for a waffle buffet at Casie & Mum's from Voucherlicious at $12.90 some weeks back. We took a bus and alighted at The Verge, and took a short 2 minute walk to the quaint cafe situated at Albert Court Village Hotel.

Ootd before going to the place. Romper from The Rosette Label.
At first glance, the cafe is really small. It has only about 3-4 tables inside (air-conditioned) and some other tables outside. Me being me, of course chose the seats inside. I hate perspiring unnecessarily :(

While waiting for our food...

I look like a monkey in the second photo -.-

For this coupon, we could choose between 5 different types of waffles! Only 3 types photographed cuz the other 2 were pretty meh
Waffle with Mozzarella Cheese and Pizza sauce. This doesn't look nor sound nice but we both loved this the most! It's savoury and tasty.

Cinnamon Brown Sugar Waffle with Banana and Chocolate Sauce. Sweet waffle.

Waffle with Brownie and Chocolate Ice cream! This was another hit. Superrrr chocolaty and melts in your mouth. Mmmmmm.

We had about 7 waffles in total, and we concluded that it was quite worth it. (Usual prices are $3.90 per waffle) and our coupon includes free flow coffee/tea too.Not to mention, we were stuffed after the meal.

It was also very quiet, given that it was a Public Holiday. Guess not people know about this hideout! I feel it's nice to just chill and talk, a very cosy and private setting.

Some pics with the pretty backdrop before we left to catch Ironman 3!

Ironman 3! No pictures, but I felt the movie was great! Super action packed, and it was a loooong time since I've watched a movie in 3D. I always feel that the glasses make me feel giddy. Today's experience at Shaw Lido 1 was good though! We were sitting in the second row from the front, but we did not have to crane our necks that much. Good experience overall! E said that the movie was rather boring though... Meh..

My next surprise for him was dinner at Switch by Timbre!

Apple Cider for me, Erdinger for him,  Buffalo Wings and Roasted Duck Pizza :)

酒鬼

One thing I have to complain about is the service there.. No idea why it was soooo bad today. Like the staff were so half-hearted in serving us?! &^%%$#& Maybe they sian cuz it's a PH and they have to work LOL.

Anywayyyy, hope you enjoyed today planned by me! You owe me one :P Kekeke.

Back to work tomorrow... 5 and a half more weeks left!!! I can do this I can do this I can do this
